COST AND CANCELLATIONS

 Each session is £35, this will be for a one to one, 60 minute session, via video or telephone call.

I will ask you to pay for your session 24 hours in advance to secure the slot. This is because the appointment is reserved especially for you and is non refundable should you fail to turn up.

If you need to cancel or we can not reschedule for the same week and you give less then 24 hours notice you will be charged.

The First
meeting is always a kind of trial session but it is not offered free of charge.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FIRST SESSION?

Together we will go through a mutual working agreement, this covers things such as confidentiality. But don't worry I will send you a copy of this to have a look at before we start.

We will then talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you feel you would like to talk about.

HOW OFTEN WILL I SEE YOU?

Our sessions will usually be once a week. Seeing each other weekly allows for the work to move along at a good pace.

However, you are ultimately in control of how little or often you would like to speak.

HOW WILL I KNOW YOU ARE THE RIGHT COUNSELLOR FOR ME?

This is an important question. You are dedicating your time and resources so you want to make sure you are picking the right person. You should consider my expertise, my personality and 'the feel' you get from talking with me. 


A free 20 minute consultation will answer some of those questions, this will in turn help inform your decision. Let me know if this is something you are interested in.

HOW ARE SESSIONS HELD?

It is best to find a place were you feel comfortable and safe enough to share what is going on for you. Your sessions will be held via Zoom, Skype or by telephone.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED SUPPORT INBETWEEN SESSIONS?

I can be contacted between the hours of  9 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday.  Outside of these hours if you feel you are in crisis or are unable to wait for your next counselling session, you can call NHS hotline on 111 option 2, or the Samaritans on 116 123.  These services are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
